What this site and the Portward app do with your data

This website

zarahost.com is made of static pages. The hosting and a CDN in front of them process IP addresses and access logs, as web servers normally do when they answer a request for a page. The website is the place to read about Portward and to download it.

A visit counter from statinside.com records page visits. Pressing the download button records the time, your IP address, your browser user agent and the referral source, if there is one, to count downloads. After that the button redirects you to the installer.

The download button gives the setup program of about 34 MB. The record described above is made when you press the button, not when you only read a page, and it is used to count downloads of the installer.

The Portward app

Portward runs locally on your Windows computer and sends no telemetry. Your chats, working folders and API keys stay on your PC. Secrets in tool output are redacted before they reach the model. This applies whichever model you pick.

Prompts go only to the model endpoint you pick. With a cloud model, the prompt text and the text of any file the agent reads go to that provider and are covered by the provider's own terms. With a local model, nothing leaves the machine.

The built-in model is ready to use without an endpoint of your own. You do not need an account to run the app, and the interface comes in 13 languages.

Optional features that use the network

Web search is optional, and it can run over an anonymizing network if you choose that. When you use web_search or http_get, the request goes to the web, and the page text that comes back can become part of the next prompt to your model.

Control of your chats from a phone browser uses one outbound connection, and you can switch it off. Update checks look for new versions, and the app shows an Update button when a new version is ready. The current version is 2.9.26, released on 2 November 2026.

The Test button checks the endpoint you entered and shows the response time and the context window. Use it before the first task to see that the connection works.

Your choices

You choose the model, and with it where your prompts go: a cloud provider, a model on your PC or the built-in model. You also choose the approval mode: Auto-run acts at once, Ask first pauses before actions that change something, and Plan only writes a plan and runs nothing.

You can switch off the phone-browser control and leave web search unused. Plans survive restarts, and Cron runs prompts on a schedule.

You decide which servers and accounts the agent touches. Portward is meant only for systems you own or are authorised to administer, and the agent does not enforce that limit for you. Read every diff and every result before you accept it.

Contact

Questions and problems about the app go through the Send feedback button inside Portward. Describe what happened and which version you use; the current version is 2.9.26.

Portward is an independent Windows app and is not affiliated with any hosting provider, control panel vendor or mail software vendor. This page describes the website and the app as they are today, and it changes when they change.

For the installer itself, compare its SHA-256 checksum with the published manifest, as the download page explains. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn about it, and the checksum is the check you can make before you run the file.
